emily wyatt kettula
Emily received her BA & MA in German Literature & German Studies
at the University of Cincinnati. In 2002 she received a
scholarship to study for a year at the University of Essen in
Germany. While studying in Germany Emily was also able to
continue her dance training there.
Emily has been dancing since she was three, mainly focusing on
ballet. She has taught dance for 14 years.
Her choreography has won top awards at competitions, as well as at
the Annual Young Choreographers Showcase at Burklyn Ballet Theatre.
She spent 7 summers dancing with Burklyn Ballet Theatre in
Vermont. Emily performed many roles there, including
soloist parts in LaBayadere and Don Quixote, as well
as acting as counselor and Choreographer in Residence. Emily
danced with Northern Ballet
Theatre in Nashua, New Hampshire in 2004.
Emily is currently working on her PhD in German as well as teaching
German at the University of Cincinnati.
We are happy to have her back on staff at MDC as an
instructor, choreographer and Assistant Artistic Director. |
